I agree. However, researchers are a lot more than just executioners. We derive strategy; we are thought leaders. However, we are always understaffed. Hence, the democratisation of research makes sense, but we must be smart about it. I feel maintaining the quality of research is all about ruthlessly prioritising the research to take up vs the research to hand over to the stakeholders.
